Anyone going to the theater this weekend? - Blu-ray Forum

Bunch of movies opening (before they're absolutely crushed by the onslaught of the Summer Blockbusters).

Anyone planning on seeing any of the movies opening? Which movie will be number 1 this weekend?

i'll be renting fighting when it hits blu/dvd
but nothing that i really want to see that is opening this weekend
but i would like to catch state of play from last week

edit: its between fighting and soloist imo

I rented some classics for the weekend, Raging Bull on blu, The Bridge on the River Kwai (is that on blu?), and Mash (which should be on blu).

I'm holding out for Wolverine, Angels and Demons, Star Trek, and the rest of the blockbusters.

I'm going to say that The Soloist does the best... but I'm probably wrong.

Don't have the same openings over here. Also I never know in advance when I'll be going to see a movie, I do it whenever it tickles my fancy. Can be decided a few hours prior to going, can be decided 5 minutes before if I happen to be passing by the theater

I think this weekend will go to OBSESSED. Second choice is the Soloist...but OBSESSED is a thriller, has Beyonce AND Ali Larter in it.

I actually saw it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

I will be going but not to see anything released today. Wife wants to see '17 again', and after the mostly positive reviews I've read and heard for it I'm actually looking forward to it as well.

I won't be going until next week when Wolverine comes out.

I might go this week for Obsessed, but I would need it from a credible source that we get either Beyonce or Ali Larter going full frontal. Otherwise this looks like a week of movies I might rent in the future.

Earth will go #1 this week.
