Default Disney and Sony kicking everyones butt on BD

Disney(Buena Vista) and Sony seem to be leading the BD charge right now with high quality transfers and audio quality of their movies. They use 50GB discs and seem to have a better handle on what they are doing. It seems clear to me that Warner most notably after this Blood Diamond fiasco is making it's BD offerings suffer because of HD DVD.

Disney has delivered totally top-notch stuff with movies like Pirates, DejaVu, Ladder 49 etc, and Sony nas put out fantastic stuff with Casino Royale, Black Hawk Down, Rocky Balboa, and Pursuit oh Happyness.

I can only hope that Warner and other duel format supporting studios can seriously start taking advantage of BD's added disc space. I do not want to see another Blood Diamond video incident on a different new release movie, especially one that is so much of a AAA title like Blood Diamond.

Sony and Disney = 300 Spartans vs HD-DVD

...the only thing is...HD-DVD isn't the one with the massive army....

it's more like 300 vs 70

I agree. I've bought several Blu-ray discs, based upon excellent reviews, that I wouldn't have normally bought. Deja Vu and Pursuit of Happiness come to mind. I've watched Pursuit and am delighted with it. Deja Vu is on order and I can hardly wait til it gets here from Amazon.

Hmm, actually I got an additional $5.99 off. Don't know why but I'll take it. Since I have Prime already, I'm getting Big Fish, Layer Cake and Identity shipped 2-Day for $33 total. Not bad.

take a look soon folks, if you can get the extra $5.99 on top of the $19.99 credit in turn on top of Amazon's already pretty good prices, this is a darn good deal. These sames 3 films at BB would be $75 to $90 not even including tax.

It is weird because in the beginning of DVD Disney was renowned for there horrible transfers. Of late there DVD tranfers have been good.

Was Blu-Ray Buckeye talking about the content the video or the audio or all three. His posting was rather ambiguous. Don't worry some of my posts are rather ambiguous too.
