Game Saves - Blu-ray Forum

If I'm at my brothers and I want to play a game on his system I just copy my game saves to a flash drive and load them on my system right? I have my PSN name and account on his system now... Just don't want a weeks worth of saves out the window.

ys, only thing is your trophies will go onto that system if unlocked, and will upload to the PSN, but will never show on your other PS3. So your PSN would say 100% while your profile offline says 90%.

Ok, so I have GTA and I am only about 60% through..

A friend recently went and bought a PS3 (traded in the xbox for which he also owned GTA). He bought GTA for the PS3 and isnt too keen on starting the whole game again as he too had about 60% of the game complete.. Here is the question - can I put my game save for GTA on a flash drive and upload it on to his PS3 for him to "continue" where I left off?

Cheers Cali! Now, which file do I take? Under 'Game Data Utility' there is a GTA file that is 3359MB in size... no option to copy. I assume that is the install that was done when I bought the game. The 'Saved Data Utility' also has a GTA file but this is only 47kb. This is the one I am to copy? Seems quite small, but hopefully it works! This gives me the option to copy.

As Cali indicated, you are going after the Saved Data Utility folder. Anything in the Game Data Utility includes game updates (like the ones you get if you boot up the game and it says an update is available) as well as add-on's that you might have purchased from the Playstation Store or elsewhere. If those are accidentally deleted, the system will just indicate that the game has an update available and re-download them again and install

Good stuff. Well I copied the file last night, but of course forgot to bring it in to work for my mate

Are you sure about the trophies not swapping to other ps3? I have 2 PS3's and have played games like crash cammondo on both, and syn them up, and it shows 100% on both PS3's.. Trophies I have not earned on one PS3 do show up on the other.. at least for that game..

It shouldn't transfer unless ur using the same PSN ID...
