Am getting a bit worried now. Play don't have them in stock and it's supposed to be release day today! I need them now so I have a chance to watch them this week before part 3 comes out on Friday.

Uh-oh, seems they've all gone temporarily out of stock for both POTC 1&2 and also not listed as new releases on play.com but still under coming soon.

Hope this ain't true, if it is, then i'm gonna look elsewhere to pick these up from as they should be out in the states today.

Thanks for this!! I'm buying right now, are you sure about them being region-free? Have you tried out your discs? Which BD player are you using??

Thanks for your help.

You're welcome.

The Blu-ray / HD-dvd ratio at Axel doesn't look too good, so it can do with a couple of orders

Cheers. It's always good to know all the sites to shop around from. Although these guys seem just slightly more expensive and are listing Pirates for June 11th, so the UK version.

What I forgot to do was check playusa.com. They're selling U.S. versions of Pirates for £16.99 inc postage! Cheaper than the UK versions!

Play.com have had problems with stock and release dates, I don't believe it's their fault but it would seem that at the moment European releases aren't exactly set in stone.

The only blu-ray disc I've gotten from them on time was Casino Royale, all the others have either suffered release date delays or they didn't get the stock until the release day itself, so I had to wait a little longer than usual to get the disc.

I'm sure these early teething problems will sort themselves out in time. I don't understand either why it is that many movies available in the US are not yet available in the UK.

They have really good prices on some titles, really high prices on others.

Decent website anyhow.

Hey,

Just wondered how well those Pirates discs worked out for you. Mine are in the mail but I'm hearing allsorts of issues with them in the main Pirates thread. Was wondering if there were any issues playing the US discs in you EU player.

Cheers,
