Travle Questions. London, Italy and Croatia

I am headed on a long vacation at the end of May.

First stop is Chicago for a friends wedding, then to London for (iirc) 4 days, before I fly to Rome.

From Rome I will stay in the Tuscany region for about 10 days, and then drive to Croatia (Dubrovnik) for another 10 days, then drive back, spend 3 days in Rome, a couple more in London, and then fly home via Chicago...

I have never been to Chicago, Italy or Croatia. I have been to the UK for about 3 years total time. I am also a US/EU citizen (Dutch and US passports).

So my questions are.

Chicago:
Good Steakhouse
Culture (Best or favorite Museums. Other dont miss/first time kind of stuff)

London
Decent food for Christ sake.
Possible day trips (How far is the furthest I can comfortably go?)

Only travel quirk I have is that I am a picky eater (I have eaten some nasty things to try it, or when there is nothing else, but I prefer to keep it simple when I travel), so the more "North American" the flavor the better ... (Yeah, I know how silly it sounds).

My lady has never been off the North American Continent. I have no idea how she will like it, but at least they are all western-type countries
