Updating a bluray profile - Blu-ray Forum

Can this only be done with an ethernet connection?

The player I have been looking at has a 2.0 profile, but has no ethernet port.

It does have an SD card port. Can it be updated from that?

what player do you have? are you trying to update the firmware? players can be updated via burned cd-r

Just go to your manufactures website and look up your player and it'll give you step by step instructions on how to get the upgrade burned to a CD-R and on to your blu-ray player
