I really hope this will benefit other artists as well!

An example: Who wouldn't want to hear Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" on BD-A, which has been remixed to 6 channels and remastered for SACD, but now is just collecting dust? Could Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers' excellent BD-A releases help studios see there is a demand for high resolution and multichannel music?

Amazon is showing a release of Damn the Torpedoes [Deluxe Edition] on November 2nd in the US, but no note about Blu-ray. We'll have to wait and see if this is coming to the US.

i beleive so. i think those releases are documentaries and may feature onle part of a track. thats why i have not purchased any of them

thanks! preordered. although i think its a little steep. mojo wants that expensive. probably becuase its an import. hopefully there will be a u.s. release.

edit: gonna keep an eye out for this at amazon u.k. a lot of the times imports can be had cheaper when buying direct from them instead of amzon.com

with shipping comes to about $1 cheaper than amazon.com for me. ill end up getting it faster with prime so its worth the $1 more. stll, im hoping there will be a domestic release like MOJO.

Unless... it's the audio CD release. I know that the ASIN is the same as the BD on Amazon.com, but could there be an error not in our favour? It's listed as a CD, but as a two disc release, strange. The new CD release is just single disc.

If you pre-order and they change the ASIN you'll know before it comes out, and given that you can cancel pre-orders at any time it would be ludicrous for a Canadian not to jump all over this.

I've added two Blu's to my cart to get free shipping and away we go.

i love how Tom is always so eager to deliver his stuff in the highest fidelity. I remember a little note on the Mudcrutch CD that you could order a "Full dynamic range Hi-FI SACD version" from his website
