I hope that one day either through Shout Factory or Warner Archive Collection this get's released with both the 116 theatrical version and 155 extended version included.
It's a camp classic and deserves a decent release. Only the extended version was released on DVD. And even on VHS, it's tough to locate the theatrical version. Both versions have their own hilarious moments that make them worth watching. If you're familiar with the long version of the film. The shorter version is hilarious with how impatient it is to get to the ending by chopping out huge chunks of sequences. So the last five minutes for example go from "We have no way to stop them!" too "I know how to stop them!" since everything between the two moments was cut out and it's a rush to the finish. It's bad movie nirvana! |
