Wrath of Khan - poor sound - Blu-ray Forum

Despite being available in 7.1 the sound quality in STII: Wrath of Khan is pretty rough, in places different characters have varying sound qualities, often it sounds like the kind of sound you'd get in an unfinished rough cut.

I guess they did what they could with it, but I'll compare it to my DVD and see how that fares.

Music and sound effects are fine so I can only assume the original speech track was just plain poor and they couldnt do much with it.

Picture wise it's a perfectly fine blu-ray without being ultra crisp; but it is from the early 80's after all.

I'm pleased with my purchase but a little let down with the sound

I knowticed that the speach on the wrath of khan DVD was not very good as well as the blu-ray.

It varied a little with some comming through clean but that was rare.

Must be an issue with the source.
