I feel awkward about saying this, but this really happened to me.
I bought a new stereo/indash NAVI for my car yesterday. The installer (local car audio place) put it in. It is a Kenwood that does CD/DVD/NAVI blutooth, etc. When I was driving around, I was usually listening to my ipoD, but I got sick of that so I decided to put in a CD. Well, it wouldn't take it in the slot. So I thought "WTF???? My brand new Kenwood is f'd up and I can't put a CD in?" I press the EJECT button and out pops another 'CD'. I look at it and it has written on it with a Sharpie 'Wolverine'. I pop it back in and it starts playing. The FOX logo, then the real movie! I can't believe it! It is a digital rip of the full movie that isn't in theaters yet!!! This is not a camcorder transfer! How do people do this? I have to say, I'm completely against this. I will gladly buy my movies at BestBuy, Amazon, anywhere. I believe the studio owns the content and is entitled to the profit. It is stealing. But I got the movie and I feel very 'weird' about it. I like X-Men and I was planning to watch wolverine at the theater. If I liked it I would probably buy the Blu-ray. This just brings up a lot of different questions. ** I DO NOT ADVOCATE PIRACY ** I just wanted to say that, since the Mods may kill this post. This really happened to me and I'm in a quandary. What should I do?:
I don't really know. Please give me your input. |

jim l god will not come down from heaven to kick your behind because of what happened it's the installer fault if the disc was still inside the article you bought not yours, if the installer realise his mistake he will contact you to correct that mistake. the eggs are on his face not yours so stop worrying and forget about it.

This is my thought as well. I would say just take it back to the shop and wipe yourself clean of this infectious disc. Doing anything else, especially since you are uneasy about the whole thing, will just eat at your conscience. Just drive back to the shop and return it, then you're totally cleared.

Ever see what happens when you put a CD/DVD in the microwave upside down for 5 seconds????????
Time to find out! (it's pretty cool..... ) EDIT: And the car-install guy probably thinks he's doing you a favor (if he left it for you intentionally)..... if you go in and complain, you'd probably look like a jerk....... I'd just toss it. |
