Hiya, I'm new here and to Blu-ray too and absoultely loved this movie and have been searching for the UK release date it and thanks to you, I've found it.
It's so nice to see a good old classic hand-drawn animated film as there are just too many CGI animated films nowadays, with the only company that can produce amazing ones being Pixar who have never made a single bad film and get the look just right.

I thought the movie was forgettable at best. If I buy the blu ray it will be for the animation which was first class.

Went to this at the cinema and it was better than i thought it would be, not a classic but still a quality film.

I'll stick with the combi, no interest in wasting the extra £2 on a useless digital copy + i don't like the artwork on either tbh, I'll print my own using the theatrical poster

Wasn't anything special but still enjoyable.

Will get it if it enters the year-end BOGOF Disney offer, hopefully at a cool 6 quid.

Hopefully they'll have announced a Wall-E combo pack, A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc. combo, Meet the Robinsons combo and Beauty and the Beast/Fantasia/Toy Story 3.

Seeing as AIW's superset is like a foldout package instead of a regualr amary case, I wonder if PATF's Superset will be aswell, I have a feeling it will

I hope not. I despise digipacks. Most of the ones I have on DVD are completely wrecked from shelf wear.

I'll be surprised, unless Disney UK have had a sudden change in policy with their packaging. I think Alice will just be the exception to the rule. The only digipack I ever remember them releasing on DVD was for Beauty and the Beast.

Could be a new policy with 'Supersets', persuade the customer to spend those extra £'s with fancy packaging?

Does this mean i should pre-order the Superset now then

I'll be pissed off if the superset turns out to be similar to the AIW one and i get the normal combi pack one

EDIT: Although looking at this full cover art image on Amazon, it seems unlikely:

I really don't see why you'd want a horrible cardboard thing over a case, but each to their own. I really don't see this getting anything other than a regular case with a slipcover.

Amen. I much prefer the standard amaray cases. I don't mind so much if it's for a TV Boxset or something, but not movies.

It's not the cardboard itself of course but the artwork you can find on it. I prefer some nice artwork instead of just a blue amaray case but that's just my opinion

If you'll look at this video you'll have to admit the artwork is nice

I don't mind a cardboard box if there are substantial extras packaged with it. I remember Disney doing some quite lavish box sets back in the days of VHS for Beauty and the Beast, Fantasia and The Jungle Book, which I believe included the VHS, the CD and some lithographs.

But if it's just to package the movie, I think all too often these sets are flimsy. If hubs get damaged, then you can't just buy a new case, the whole package is damaged, and I'd always prefer a case over something like that.

And I am very careful with all of my discs and packages, but it doesn't matter how careful you are, accidents can still happen and they're simply not durable enough.

And then there's the issue of the uniformity of your shelf space.
