Default The first TV projector

I know some of you have used your projector as your television, but this is a projector I can comfortably say should be called a TV projector. Casio has recently released LED Laser Hybrid projectors that uses LED Lasers as a light source. The benefit of LEDs is that they can provide a significantly longer life than conventional mercury bulbs (stated to last 20,000 hours, versus typical mercury bulbs for 2000, 3000 with some eco mode), does not need alot of power unlike mercury bulbs, do not degrade light output or performance like mercury bulbs even at the end of it's life, and they instantly turn on like a TV and do not need a cool down process like normal projectors. The Lasers have the benefit that since each of the LED pixels are lasers, you don't need to focus them, meaing no need to handle with refocusing the projector. Unlike older LED models, this is an extremely bright projector (stated to be about 2500 lumens and has a "best mode" above 1000 lumens). It is even a portable projector, weighing 5 pounds and about 1.7 inches thick.

The best part is that the 720p model (Casio XJ-A240) sells for about $1000

Here is the link.

The only problem now is that there is no 1080p model available, but there is the Vivitek H9080FD, but that is nowhere near as bright, doesn't use lasers, and cost about $15000.
