I Can't play Good Bad, and the Ugly?? - Blu-ray Forum

I bought The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and cannot play this. I get the main menu screen, but when I enter 'play' it would attempt to play but then go back to the main menu screen.

I changed the BD for another but the same thing happens.

Since I have not used my PS3 in over a year (yes that's right) I probably do not have a new firmware update. However I can play the new movie 10,000 BC.

So does The Good, the Bad, Ugly need a firmware update? Since for some reason I cannot connect the internet to my PS3....I will need to rely on a firmware that is built into the BD-DVD.

And it looks like GB&U does not have this in it's BD-DVD. Any suggestions on how I get this firmware(if that is what I need) without internet connection?

you can go to the PS3 website and put the firmware update on a USB thumbdrive and the put it into the PS3.

Yeah, you need to do a firmware update. I can play it just fine on my PS3.

Yes, actually...my PS3 and Xbox360 went untouched for about 1.5 years. lol.

The update is system 2.80?
