You know.
![]() I believe that since "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was released on December 11, 2007 on DVD and Blu-Ray and "The Dark Knight" was released on DVD and Blu-Ray December 9, 2008, and the fact that they were both July theatrical release dates...since "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is also a July release date and all three of them are from Warner Bros., my guess is hopefully that it'll come out on December 8, 2009. That's my theory. Anyone else agree? |

i would have to agree. there seems to be a pattern within a couple weeks from year to year.
ie: iron man came out 5/08 and then 9/08 wolverine came out 5/08 and will be coming 9/08 the indredible hulk came out 6/08 then 10/08 transformers 2 came out 6/09 and will be coming 10/09. |

I remember when VHS tapes would take a couple of years to come out. Since the release dates seem to be getting shorter I wonder what kind of impact that will have on local theaters? If I know a Blu will be released 4 months later I would probably just wait and either buy it or rent it. Maybe someone should start a thread on the subject? |

Looking at how the movie studios have been changing their audio codecs from dolby true hd to dts ma. I wonder will they change from PCM to DTS MA for the rest of the series? I figure since they are probably going to add alot of extras to this disc since bd live, picture in picture, are now readily available and was not when the 1st 5 movies were made for blu.
If hope they do change alot to the special editions, the last few movies on blu were not up to par with the hd dvds as far as extras go. |

Of course it will, they will want to cash in on holiday buying.
The general rule of thumb is this: summer movies = holiday home video releases. It's been this way for decades - no guesswork or predictions needed... |
