Talking crashkelly's home theatre

Hi all,

Just thought I would join the club and post a little about my movie enjoyment area.

Anyway, here are some specs:

Energy 7.1 Speaker System
Fronts: C-500's
Centre: C-C100
Side Surrounds: C-R100's
Rear Surrounds: C-50's
Subwoofer: SVS 20-39PC-Plus

The Gear
TV: 48" JVC iArt Rear Projection CRT
Cable: Motorola DCT 3416 160GB HD-PVR
HD-DVD: Toshiba HD-A35
Receiver: Yamaha RX-V1800
Blu-Ray: 40GB PS3
Gaming: 120GB XBOX 360 Elite
Media Server: D-Link DNS323 with 2Terabytes of storage for movies, music,.....
Power: Belkin Pure AV Power Conditioner.

I started renovating my basment about 18months ago and am almost done. Completely gutted the basement, wiring and all, and proceeded to create a movie space, workout space, and a home office space.

All home theatre wiring is in the walls and ceiling including pre-wire for a projector and remote controlled screen.

I have a few pictures up in my gallery already, but they are pretty bad. I am going to take some better quality ones and more of them very soon.

Thanks much
crashkelly

Great-looking space. I think you did a great job- wish I had a cozy nook to put a small HT in!

I bet that SVS subs blows your doors off in there.

Thanks for the compliments.

The SVS is awesome, and yes it does blow the doors off the place. What do you think happened to the fuse box fdoors right above it (Just kidding, haven't built them yet.)

I am thinking about posting the before and after pics of the space.

Thanks again for the kudos

cheers

Love the gear and that is one nice sub (hint, hint.. ..... I love my cylinder SVS sub too! Those Energy's are real nice and I really like what you did with what little room you had to work with. And yes, you sure do like Steelbooks.

I am already planning the next "real" home theatre. I wasn't even completed the basement renos when my better half informed me we were moving in 2 years

I layed down my conditions and she agreed

Minimum of a 128" screen and some new gear, like a mate for the SVS.

cheers and thanks again
