Default A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE - Anchor Bay

A Horrible Way to Die Blu-ray

A Horrible Way to Die Blu-ray Review

A Horrible Way to Die, is being put out by Anchor Bay 6 September 11.

This was one of my favourite thriller/horror films from last year. It did the genre festival circuit (TIFF, Fantastic fest, Sitges, HOFF) and then kinda vanished, so i was worried it wasn't going to be picked up.
It's very much an American Indie - my initial (and lazy) description was "a mumble-core Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer."
It's closest kin right now would be Simon Rumley's Red White & Blue, not for plot but execution.
So don't go in expecting Hatchet 3

The disc itself looks pretty bare bones (behind the scenes & a commentary with the writer and the director) but it's a small film i wouldn't expect them to go all out.

Anyway, I'm glad it's getting a blu release and hope it finds an audience.
