Default Guitar Hero 4 on PS3 - Lag issues solved?

I tried a quick search for this but couldn't find anything.

I've been considering buying GH 4, but I need to know if the lag issues that plagued GH 3 were solved. I put GH 3 down halfway through because I just couldn't take it anymore.

And I know this is a PS3 forum, but for anyone that owns a 360, is that version superior to the PS3?

Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.

I know the solution to this problem - you're following the wrong game, trade it in for Rock Band.

the only problem I've had with Guitar Hero World Tour was related to a bad guitar. I've tried a different guitar with the game and it worked fine.

No doubt. I already own RB 1 & 2. IDK, just got an itch to play World Tour.

I haven't heard of any lag issues with the instruments for GH:WT. If we're talking about the GH3 Les Paul guitar controller, THAT thing does have significant lag.

Or are you talking about online play? For that, don't even bother, since multiplayer in GH:WT is made of unequivocal fail.

That's cool. I'm gonna rent Smash Hits one of these days, but I'm gonna use my RB equipment. Icemage is right, the problem with GH3 was with the shoddy guitar. Well, the lag problem anyway, insane overcharting was the programmers fault....

I should have been more specific. My problem was indeed with the Les Paul guitar. I knew a lot of people had trouble with them.

Yeah that problem was specific to the controller itself, not the game. If you played GH3 with a GH2 Xplorer or a GH1 SG it played fine, aside from the overcharted mess on some of the charts and the lol-tastic hammer-on windows.

GHWT cleaned up "some" of the overcharting problems, and the instruments are certainly better, but I really wouldn't go out and buy the bundle if you've already got Rock Band 1/2 instruments lying around since the build quality isn't really that much different (guitar might be better or worse for you since the fret buttons are spaced differently than a RB Stratocaster).
