Looking to buy Baarìa Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,

So after finding out that Image's US Blu-ray has been cropped to 1.78:1, I'm now after the Brazilian edition instead, which appears to be 2.35:1 OAR and have English subtitles.

I don't have a problem ordering a copy online, but the shipping is way too expensive from these vendors. If you can locate a copy locally and would be willing to send it to me, could you please send me a PM?

I have opened a thread here because I imagine other English speakers may wish to join my quest.

Have you PMed leobzrra about it? He seems to be the forums main Brazilian expert as far as these things go. Also I have this recollection kicking around in the back of my head (that might be totally wrong) that some of the Brazilian webstores knock down the shipping the more items you order, perhaps a group buy could be arranged at some point (there are a lot of interesting Brazilian titles available)?

No, I had not, thanks for the tip.

We may also be doing a group buy for it; we shall see how things work out.

Want and afford are two very different concepts sadly. Any idea on pricing at this stage of the game?

I figured it'ld be around the $40-45 mark, it tempts me so but thats a tank of gas and I can't really swing that at the moment.
