Default Good laptop or pre-built desktop for around $600?

Can someone suggest some good desktops or laptops for around $600. I don't need it to run any games. I usually watch videos or movies. I might use it to write. I would like it to have a blu-ray player, and i'd like it to be able to play the blu-ray movies in 1080p, though i can't afford an HD screen right now, so i'll hook it up to my HDTV. Thanks to anyone that helps me out .

Dell Inspiron Zino HD HTPC

Make sure you order one that comes with Blu-ray and the remote. I would also get the wireless keyboard with trackball.

Wow, that HTPC from Dell looks pretty cool. Is that new? I've never seen that before.

I've had a Zino 410 for about 4 months now, which is the 2nd generation. Before the Zino 410 they had the Zino 400. Here is a good review with a tear down.

I would look for a HTPC with at least the latest AMD Fusion processors. Come built in with DX11 graphics and their newest GPUs the 6000 series.

If it has ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 MXM Discrete Graphics Card then yes. The cheap ones with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Integrated Graphics = no.

I like to ask, my Dad uses this card, how do you turn off deep color on the card? My HDMI cable has a problem with 1080p 60Hz when that is turned on. Yesterday, I fixed the problem by turning it off on my PS3 (Which was set to automatic) and it looked no different (other than it works).

Sorry, I don't know. You can get good quality HDMI cables for cheap from Monoprice.
