when im watching blu rays i use the auto audio setting and it simply reads "PCM". i thought it may or should read dolby true hd like the ps3 display is showing. i just want to make sure im watching these blus on the right setting!!! so if any other sc-05 users can tell me if their display reads the same. i have seen different receivers display screens actually show "dolby true hd master" etc.

With your PS3, it will never read TrueHD or DTS-HD MA since it is the PS3 doing the processing of the sound, not the receiver. The Receiver will always show PCM unless you are bitstreaming the audio codec, which the PS3 cannot do.
It's all the same sound, though. |
