Smile I'm selling some blu-rays in a garage sale next week...

Would any of you do this? Or just put them on eBay??

I'm sick of eBay lately. They rape you with all the fees, and then people want to lowball you and sometime things still don't sell.

I'm planning to sell "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Ratatouille" (unopened) plus some other used titles. I think I'll for $17 each and see how it goes. Some people at garage sales may have heard of blu-rays, but some may not.

I've dumped a lot of DVDs at garage sales. Many times they were bought by Mexican families. Usually they ask if they have "sutitulos en Espanol". Luckily they usually do!

I would think your best bet is to try to set up some sales/trades on the trading forum. I just don't see someone paying $17 bucks for a BD at a garage sale. We both know that average joe garage sale shopper will see it as a DVD in a blue box and try to talk you way down. Is it worth the inevitable hassle to explain?

Most people who go to garage sales are ignorant.

They wouldn't usually know a blu-ray from a DVD, lol.

I have to agree. Most people aren't going to pay that price. Spcially since I can go to ebay my self and I've bought Blu's for a s low as $15 including shipping. If your gonna do this I's start at aorund $10 but don't go any lower. I mean you don't want to be screwed either.
