Hey,
I have a budget of 130$ and I wish to purchase a soundbar and I intend to have it until the end of the next week. The only options I have are currently are these 3 bars: Samsung HW-F350 Sony CT60BT Energy Sistem Soundbar SB5 Bluetooth I plan to connect them to my PS3 via optical and PC via coaxial, and both of them to my projector via HDMI. Will this work correctly? I made an image in case I wasn't clear enough, this is what I wish to do. Based on specs the Energy SB5 looks good and a big plus is the wireless subwoofer. But I noticed it doesn't have either dts or dolby, would what be a problem? Thanks for the help. Cheers! Last edited by BioL; 05-19-2014 at 02:38 PM. |

Two things.
One) when you split the audio from the HDMI you usually get some lipsync delay. Not always. Two) all three are going to be using two channels mixs to create sound. Both sources should be able to decode to PCM which will be compatible with just about anything. So that shouldn't matter. (edit* I mean about DTS and Dolby) Any reason you are going with the sound bar option over a real surround sound setup? Cost or space restrictions? |

For instance: http://www.accessories4less.com/make...package/1.html
More expensive than what you were planning on but it will be infinitely better. |

I've been using the "Av Multi out" entrance from my ps3 and I didn't notice anything until now, I hope it doesn't happen now. But thanks for the heads up! It's both cost and space restrictions, as i'm in EU most audio stuff ( from what I've seen while looking for the prices in stores in spain ,germany, norway and england) are really expensive so that onkyo system would probably jump to 300€. And space restrictions because I can't position correctly the rear speakers nor the right front speaker. I would love to have a 5.1 system if it was an option. I want the soundbar more as an option for when I have guests because the rest of the time I use my headphones anyway. Last edited by BioL; 05-19-2014 at 11:58 PM. I dont have any specific suggestions for you then. I would guess that most items in this price range are going to be pretty comparable. I would get the Sony or Samsung rather than the Energy sound bar. I thought this was related to the Energy speakers company but it doesn't appear to be. Not sure where to point you since your in another country. If you can get them Zvox is a good name for Sound Bars.
Not sure if this will ship to you. Or if shipping would be really costly. http://www.zvoxaudio.com/divinity-ca....html#!gallery |

How about some nice bookshelf speakers? Once you add a subwoofer, they'll sound just as good as floor standing speakers. You could start off with a 2 channel setup, and work your way up to 5 or 7 speakers and a subwoofer. Tonally they'll also be better because they're all the exact same.
I'd recommend these Paradigm Atom Infinity Primus Pioneer Andrew Jones series EMP tek e5bi Fluance xl7s |
