Default hooking up a monster powercenter to onkyo 606 amp

hi,

i've just hooked up a Monster PowerCenter HTS 1000 to my AV set up and was flicking through the manual. I came accross this and liked the idea but not sure how to do it?

would be great if anyone can help??

section 8 says;

AC/DC Remote Trigger: Allows the PowerCenter to be automatically turned on by another component, such as an AV receiver.

In my case an Onkyo 606 - there's a small jack plug in the side (of the HTS1000) but nothing supplied with the kit? do i need to purchase some kind of transformer and cables to use this? does it mean the powercenter will be permenantly off until i power up the onkyo? as this is what i'm after.

tia

If I'm not mistaken, the 606 doesn't support the remote trigger function. From what I can tell on Onkyo's site, only the 706 and up have this feature.
