Question Trying to find a film's title!

This is probably a bit of a strange request.
But I'm looking for a movie I can only give a vague description about.
I'm sure someone might recognize it here, so here it goes:

This movie was kind of strange, it was all set in a rather dark urban setting.
It was not science-fiction or fantasy or anything, so count that out.
Rather like a drama-thriller type of thing.
What happened was this guy or something shooting photos of a girl in a store.
It's hard to remember what was the reason, but she found out or something and of course freaked out about it.
This wasn't 'One Hour Photo' but similar and probably older, say from around mid-'90s.

I told you it's vague. XD
It's also hard to think of the exact actors again, I only have like "images".
Could have been with ones like Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt,
which might just be similarities or possibilities.

The film that you're probably thinking of is "The Watcher". It was made not in the mid-90's, but in 2000. The film starred James Spader, Keanu Reeves, and Marisa Tomei. In the film, Keanu Reeves played a serial killer who chooses a female victim and studies her for weeks until he knows her routine down to the smallest detail, makes meticulous preparations using his forensic knowledge to gain entry when she's quite alone, subdues her and administers a long, torturous death. Meanwhile, Keanu taunts FBI Agent James Spader by sending him pictures of his intended victim, thereby daring Spader to find her before she dies.

I think this is what you're looking for, Damage Inc., but I could be wrong.

Aha, sounds kind of familiar, only I was always convinced I didn't see 'The Watcher'.
But I might have seen it on TV,
when I used to watch movies without paying attention to titles or descriptions.

I'll have a look at it, at least a trailer I just found...

Hm, is there something about a railroad where something/someone is buried or something?
That could be from yet another movie, but I thought I saw a flash of it.
The piano-wire-thing also sounds familiar...

Ah yes, that is the one, I recognized the moment I saw the "Gothish" girl he took a picture of:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HX-qQgDGaM
I didn't remember the investigating man though...

Well, I guess I add it to my "watched"-list instead of "to watch" huh.
But thanks guys, spot-on!

Question

OK, there is anóther film that I know and liked, but do not know the title of.
I saw it on TV a couple of times 10-15 years ago.

As far as I know the main character, a man, was played by an actor like Harrison Ford or Liam Neeson.
The reason I name Neeson is because the plot of the recent film 'Taken',
which I have nót seen though, reminds me of the plot of the film I'm looking for.
Which was that this man's family was "taken" (lol) by some group of guerrillas and held prison in a jungle.
That caused for a setting much like the comedy 'Six Days Seven Nights',
where they were also on some tropic island and eventually also came across some guerrilla-group.
Which might be the reason I thought Harrison Ford is in the film I'm looking for.
The setting was also quite 'Platoon'- or 'Rambo'-like.

For the rest... I'm not sure how everything went...
But I know the man pretty much infiltrated into their camp or base there.
Pretty much on his own because he was like "I'll do it myself!" or something.
He was probably rejected for help from officials.

That's pretty much what I remember, but I remember enjoying it.
So, if anyone has a clue what I'm talking about now, I'd like to hear it.

You may be thinking of 'The Mosquito Coast' which stars Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren and River Phoenix. It's about a father who hates life in America and takes his family to the jungle to live. They build it up from scratch and at some point in the film, they are taken hostage by guerrillas.

Great movie and not yet available on blu and I'm pretty sure this is what you're talking about.

Alright, thanks.
I'll try and have a look at it, see if it's the one.
It's probably hard to recognize, since I wouldn't know what everything looks like.
On to YooChoob first I guess, kind of doubt people would put clips of that film on there though. :P

Hm, too bad they made such a cheesy trailer for it, can barely see anything.
But they did put up some parts of the films.
I'm still not 100% sure, but this is probably it, I'll watch it anyway, should be good enough.
Thanks!

Yes, give it a viewing, it's actually a good movie even if it's not what you're thinking of and it's based on a Paul Theroux novel of the same title. It's not a gun shooting Predator type action film, but it has it's adventure and the guerrilla part is quite dramatic.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought of the film I meant.
The way you describe it... it's probably the one.
