When rookie cop Megan Turner (Jamie Lee Curtis) kills a convenience store robber, she does not notice when psychopathic commodities trader Eugene Hunt (Ron Silver) takes the dead man's gun. With no weapon at the crime scene, the police hold Turner accountable for killing an unarmed man. Meanwhile, Hunt uses the stolen weapon to go on a killing spree. Hell Yeah! I was hating on the idea that Imprint only made it available in a $150 box set where I wasn’t terribly interested in the other 4 movies. This is a Day 1 for me!

Now I’m going to patiently wait for a single release of SLC Punk.

Great news in re-releasing front, but I do hope this isn't going to be another major disappointment when it comes to PQ. I mean after all this is Vestron we talking about here.

Lions Gate/Vestron releasing a MGM title... but then notice the poster says Lightning Pictures in association with Precision Films. So, I'm guessing their contract must've expired. Can't see Lions Gate licensing other titles when they have so much better catalog title still yet to be released on Blu-ray or better.

This was intended as a Vestron release.

BTW, the movie came out in 1990 according to IMDB and Wikipedia.

I'm worried too. I hope this had at least a 2K scan within the last 10 years.

Read the recent Imprint release did not look very good. Hope this one looks at least much better than that, but I can’t say I’m too optimistic.

It looks pretty much identical to the German Concorde release which I personally think looks pretty decent for a older master. The Imprint also has the OG 2.0 stereo track as well unlike the Concorde which should most likely be carried over to the Vestron release.

There was recently a Lionsgate-plastered version on Prime. Looked pretty good. Nothing fantastic, but it looked like a decent HD master.
