[Show spoiler] I'd much rather have DEAD RISING as a big budget movie or series. Or S.T.A.L.K.E.R., METRO, or System Shock. Maybe even Shadowrun. |

As for why: probably because the overall reaction to the game was kind of "meh," despite selling moderately well. |

The game wasn't that popular (it came against scores of similar games and concepts) and James Gunn's busy with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and getting The Belko Experiment released (it's finished but MGM hasn't found a distributor yet).
The only way it becomes a movie is if Warner Bros. has absolutely nothing else to develop. |

The game was a major flop, and James Gunn moved on to Gaurdians. As to the casting of Jessica "the focus of my career is to show my boobs" Nigri, I'll quote James gunn himself:
"Who? Who is that? No. No I won't be casting her in the role. I've never heard of her." |

Never mind that, I'm still waiting for a Final Fight film.

And no. Looking good in a cheerleader outfit doesn't qualify you to play a lead role in a major motion picture. Porn maybe, but not a Hollywood film. |

She "plays dumb" well. But she isn't dumb. Acting...??? No idea. But like alluded to elsewhere, there are a lot worse people. *and how many CosPlayers don't show off their assets??? Last edited by schan1269; 12-15-2015 at 02:56 PM. |

However, I also don't respect her, or the attitude she has towards the people that support her. She's also incredibly unprofessional, and a liar to boot. *this is why cosplay is not respected, and never will be. It's modeling in a niche market, not paying tribute to characters. |

For 1..."acting the slut" to me is attractive. And some characters are meant to be played that way. For 2...CosPlay "not respected". We must run in separate circles. Have no clue what JN has ever "lied about". Business? Who has backed her costumes(the rigamaro surrounding "you can't be a corporate sponsored player" when being specifically asked to be somewhere...) ??? Not paying when promising to do so(on a costume build. Been there on several costumes)? |

There's a significant difference between the circles who perform cosplay as a passionate hobby and those who do it purely as a job, that's for sure. Folks like Nigri are definitely in the latter category.

2. Yes, we must run in seperate circles, since apparently you like to look at cosplay to be turned on rather than appreciate the art and design that goes into creating an authentic costume. She has lied about many things. Small things, such as making her own costumes entirely by herself, and what games/shows she's actually a fan of, to big things. Things like "Oh my god, Norman Reedus gave me his phone number and asked me out on a date!" (The man has done no such thing.). Then there's just her shady (and entirely cliche) way of getting work. Which, any amount of small research will tell you, involves her talents. I certainly see nothing respectful about her, her "work", the way she treats fans in person (having met her SEVERAL times over periods from 2012-2015), or how she disgraces the characters she dresses as with her inability to keep her top buttoned shut no matter the character, or the characters age. If you disagree, sorry you feel that way. That's my opinion, and the opinion of many who appreciate legitimate cosplay. The people who actually care about pouring their blood and sweat into a costume simply out of tribute, or to brighten someone's day. I could give two rats behinds what someone who makes costumes to sell pictures of themselves thinks. |
