Blu-ray Grand Duke

Hi guys, I'm going to get a Blu-ray for a member here because .de doesn't except his card, which is excepted by Amazon.co.uk. As far as I can work out the two sites are almost the same set-ups. Apart from when you go to the check-out it gives you options to change addresses etc. As for postage it looks like it will cost 6Euros for one BD (that's the price for a DVD, console game etc it doesn't mention BD's). If I go over £18 does it make a difference or doesn't matter because Germany is part of the EU?
I was reading in the US thread that some items were been returned as 'undelivered' from Amazon.fr because the lowest priced delivery option wasn't excepting the addresses in the US through their system.sorting office. Will I experience the same problem with the lower cost delivery service from Germany to Wales? Or is it just a French/US thing? If you could share some of your experiences I'd be most grateful. And if there are any pitfalls or things you feel I should be aware of. I was thinking about getting Strange Days when it's released (I think the 11th April?) will it be cheaper P&P to order two things at the same time or doesn't it matter? Thanks in advance guys. |

I'm not from the UK but I am a fellow EU inhabitant so here is my input. Importing within EU is safe, taxes paid on items in another EU country means it will not require taxation when arriving in the UK. In fact, Amazon has the nasty habit of deducting the tax of it's country's rate and implementing the rate of the buyers country which in my case is a whopping 25% so depending on variations between tax rates in the UK and Germany you could either pay more or pay less than the price quoted on the product page at Amazon.de so pay attention to what the price of the product is on checkout as it will most likely not match.
I have had no trouble with purchases from Amazon.de regarding shipping, I think the issue with Amazon.fr is isolated to them. You could also try http://www.jpc.de which is English-friendly and compare pricing with Amazon.de |
