Default Movies about Hollywood?

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Los Angeles in July. I've been several times before, but she's never been, so I want to present her with some films that we can watch until our trip that feature L.A./Hollywood and are considered "classic" (I realize that MANY films are set in L.A., but I want films worth seeing).

It would also be helpful if the films were set around areas that we might pass by, but that's by no means required. Also, if the film is on Blu-Ray, you might put an asterisk by the title.

Off the top of my head I can think of L.A. Confidential, The Player and Sunset Boulevard. I've looked at some of the lists on Amazon, but most are unreliable (I don't really want to see "Big Fat Liar" as an example of L.A.).

A few I like:

Barton Fink

There is also a pretty good podcast called Filmspotting:

http://www.filmspotting.net/top5.htm

If you go to the very first one at the bottom it is pretty much about the your subject. Well, movies about movies, not particular about Hollywood

I find a lot of good suggestions for movies to check out just listening to all the old podcasts.

Not a film, but the HBO series "Entourage" is all about the Hollywood lifestyle.

The best ones that come to mind (as in, involved LA/Hollywood, and are great movies):

The Player
Sunset Boulevard
Singin' in the Rain
