What he did was terrible, but you can't add extra time to his sentence because he's a public figure.

Oh I feel the same way. Now he has a construction job and 2 months house arrest? Gimme a break!

He'll be back in the NFL. Not sure exactly when, but I have a feeling he will.

No doubt.

I don't think he will end up being a QB. I can see him as a slot guy or punt/kick return guy. It's possible some team snags him to run the wildcat.

Even though I hate him for what he did, he is one hell of an athlete.

I see him coming back.

i could see that as well....how much does that suck!!??

i'm clean as a whistle, a team could pay me to play, i'd love to be the guy on the kickoff team that throws his body to bust up the wedge!!!

He has to meet w/ the NFL commish and is probably looking at a 1/2 season suspension at the least. After that there will be at least one team that will offer a league minimum contract w/ performance incentives. He could do all right on a team w/ an established QB coming in for some Wildcat/special teams type stuff.

If he works with the culture that enjoys recreational dogfighting, raises money for the animal rights groups, and keeps his nose clean he can do more good back in the NFL than he would have done sitting in a cell.

He did his time, shows genuine remorse...deserves another chance.

In a league that lacks talent at the QB position, this guy will have a job. Too much naturally talent and he'll sign on with a team soon enough.

I don't think there's a chance he'll play quarterback this year. He isn't released from home confinement until late July, and he will likely have some sort of suspension, 4 games minimum. There's no guarantee he won't get a full year's ban either. To be a quarterback for a new team you need to work out the whole offseason learning the offense and Vick would only have a month of practice. If he plays this year it will be as a utility player in a wildcat type role. Some teams that have been mentioned as possibilities are the Patriots, Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, and Bills. Odds are he signs a one-year deal at a minimum salary, and then next year tries to catch on somewhere as a quarterback.

Not surprised at all, what will be surprising is the number(or lack thereof) of teams trying to sign him when he's ready.

I agree, definitely didn't mean that he'd play this year. He still needs to be reinstated by the Commish. He'll sign and work out with a team but I agree, it'll be some time before he plays QB again. Needs to get back into football shape and the mentality first.

Who said because he served his time and was released is why I started the topic out with "Lame?"
