which is the best video codec for blu-ray?

There's already a bunch of threads on this subject. One in particular is really good. But, I can't seem to find it.

Considering that you can't choose what codec to buy 'Movie X' in, does it really matter? No one codec is better than the others in every situation. They all have their good points and bad points.

What matters is that the movie looks good on the disc, regardless of the codec used to encode the picture.
