Has anyone heard anything about Sopranos seasons 1-5 being released on Blu-Ray?

I hope they put the entire series in a special edition box set. That would be sweet.

As long as they get the sound right I am for it. I also wish that HBO would release ROME on Blu-ray. I think many of us watched these two series on HD and I would hate to relive these two master piece series in SD DVD.

Deadwood also.

Once Sopranos S6.5 comes out we should start to see BD releases of the rest of Sopranos, Rome & Deadwood, probably by fall time we will see some release dates for all the seasons of all 3 shows.

But I want them NOW

They were filmed on 35mm film, which is much higher than HD. Then they were later transfered and mastered in HD for airing.

Great. I would definitely buy them, I don't think I will buy just the last season one they have out. Hope they bring it on.

HBO announced season one blu-ray a few months ago but it has been delayed.

Sooner or later it will get back on track.
