Does laying down a lcd monitor/display damage it in any way?

I need to transport one about 100 miles and I need to lay it flat.

Thanks

If you have to lay it down, as I did with my plasma, lay it down face down with nothing protruding that may damage the screen.
I transported mine like that when I first bought it. It just just fine.

Bring blankets or something else nice and padded to protect it

1. Lay it face down with a blanket covering the screen
2. Don't sit on it
3. Don't put anything else on it
4. Don't go mudding while transporting it

follow these simple instructions and you should be good

Thanks!

I guess from the responses it would be better to lay the componet side down with the screen up?

Definatelywill be padded with blankets.

thanks again...
