![]() ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZH4jR...ature=youtu.be Released on Blu in the UK 9/01/12 Sypnosis: The story of two men on different sides of a prison riot -- the inmate leading the rebellion and the young guard trapped in the revolt, who poses as a prisoner in a desperate attempt to survive the ordeal. Don't know how many of you have seen this movie but it was one of the best prison films i have seen in a long time, with the likes of "A Prophet" this Spanish film slipped under the radar and is now being remade for those that can't handle using a little brain power to read subs. i would recommened this to anyone who likes gritty violent prison movies with a great storyline! I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite newer imports as of late. I'd agree somewhat on the 'raw and gritty' comment. It had a very unique feel. I was drawn in to the tension at the prison almost immediately, and that continued throughout the film, and really never let up. At points, it did remind me of 'A Prophet'. Although I might add I despised the tag line on the cover: [Show spoiler] "Die Hard Meets A Prophet." ![]() Not sure I see the hard reference to Die Hard, but nonetheless, if you enjoyed 'A Prophet', I'd say say this is a solid recommendation. I enjoyed the revolution. |

I got this a few days ago quite cheaply. Unfortunately, after I watched it, I found an interview in Spanish with the film's editor, Mapa Pastor, who appears to confirm that the film was indeed shot at 24 fps, not 25 fps, which means Canal (and Paramount Spain) got this wrong for the UK, French and Spanish Blu-rays:

There is an English-friendly Blu-ray from Canada which should be 1080p24. |
