Default major judder issue

I burned last year's AMC HD broadcast of the Godfather Saga (the made for TV version of the first two movies) to BD-R, and the video judders like mad when I play it on my TV. It plays perfectly smooth on my PC though. I've never had any major judder issues on my TV, except maybe some barely noticeable judder in a movie, which is normal, but on this disc it looks like a 10 magnitude earthquake is hitting during a panning scene, unwatchable. The TV is a Vizio with 240hz, so it shouldn't be a problem with 24p. When I hit the display button on my player it shows as 1080/60p anyway, if that's accurate. There doesn't seem to be anything I can do with my TV settings to fix it, but I know the video is encoded OK since it is perfectly smooth on the PC. I'm wondering if there is a way to re-encode this to get rid of judder and make sure it's compatible with a TV.
