Default Car Tag?

Did you ever play car tag?

The thread on cliques got me to reminiscing.

We played this game in our (or our parents') cars. You pick a subdivision and set boundaries that you can not leave (honor system). Two people in a car. One car was "it", and you had to physically tag one of the other teams cars with your hand (which is why you need a driver and a tagger) to make them "it". It was good if you could corner them; tagger jumps out and makes a tag.

I don't know how we never got caught. Easily 50 mph in neighborhood streets with 25 mph limits. We'd play at night, headlights off when you were not "it", and we'd pull fuses out to keep brakelights and parking lights from coming on. My mother never believed me when she asked where I went (over 100 miles on the car some nights) and I said "never left the neighborhood".
