I was just getting ready to head up to bed, so I started the break-in images to loop overnight. When the white one popped up, it kept changing brightness. I thought my new tv was busted. Then I figured out it was adjusting the brightness (actually, the contrast) relative to me walking between it and a lamp that was still on.
Turns out, it's the CATS - Contrast Auto Tracking System - that I apparently have turned on. I honestly didn't know the tv did this, but apparently it senses ambient lighting and automatically adjusts contrast. Pretty cool. |
