Default PS3 #3 Best PQ?

I heard somewhere that despite it's lowest BD player price tag, the PS3 trails only the first -gen Elite and one of Samsung's players in picture quality. True?

No, it is not that good, it is behind both Sony players, the Pioneer Elite and the Samsung BDP-1200.

Even so, it is still awesome and with 1080p24 now working it is a proper contender for PQ crown, though just a bit off the leaders.

I've done direct comparisons. PS3 is just as good as the elite or sammy. Dont know about the bdp-1400 though as its not out yet.

I was told by a Best Buy agent the PS3 was by far the best BD player.
