Default The Emigrants / The New Land - Treasure Island (1990) treatment maybe?

The Emigrants / The New Land has yet to get an upgrade from LD to DVD or BLURAY in the US. It was released on DVD overseas but with no English Subtitles. Had 7 different others but no english. Warner Brothers must of gave them distribution, but said "yeah but no english subs"! I'm just curious why these films are vaulted when they earned Best Picture nods at the Academy Awards and star Max Von Sydow and Irgrid Bergman. Been tempted forever to cough up the money for the LD's of these films. these titles have Criterion written all over them if you ask me. Not sure what is going on here. Ackk.. getting angry just typing this.. maybe others would like to vent too! Oh yeah.. WB finally put out the Heston and Christian Bale version of Treasure Island upgrade from LD last year on dvd...lol.. a 2011 release of a 1989 movie on dvd... just to get distribution to bite they link it with the 50th Anniversary of Ben-Hur...vomit! At least it had a commentary from Heston's son who directed. Oh yeah the ship they used it that film sunk during Storm Sandy. Same one used in the Bounty films I think. Oh well.. enough ranting.
