Who here has facebook ? It would be nice to add all the members of this forum who have facebook . The ones who don't want to, don't have to!

Used to be on Facebook but over time it felt fake. My status said I had 63 friends, but I only really knew 4. The rest being just people met on Facebook and nothing more so I dumped my account like 6 months ago.

Well why don't you become IRL friends?

I gave it up a while ago as well. The friends I want to keep in touch with I can go hang out with or call, or even IM. I don't need to keep up to date with all the gossip going on in everyone's life.

I have facebook,I got tired of myspace...but now with all the lame ass applications and such its just as bad as myspace, it just looks better lol.

i ahve facebook aswell

but im getting fed up of it...everyone just wants to see who can get the most friends still and i dont actually keep in contact with anyone on there

I use it mostly to keep in contact with my friends in other countries, it's great for that. I'm not all about trying to get as many random friends from people I barely know.

i have myspace and facebook. It's just nice to see everyone i went to school with over the years. I've even found friends that had moved away in the begginging of high school that i've always wondered what had happened to them. But i do feel like both are cheesy. I mean how the hell do people get 700 freinds on there? I mean that is nuts, if you have that many friends on myspace or face book i bet you really only "know" maybe 50 of them and are only "friends" with maybe 20 of them. Ridiculous....

I have both also. I ONLY add friends and people I know in real life, I have never added a single person I don't know personally. People knock it, but if you use it for the right reasons, what's to knock? I say what's up to a few people every now and then that I wouldn't normally ever call on the phone. It's nice to keep up, see how things are going... if you don't use it to solicit fake friends, cyber sex, or other crazy various things... if you don't use it as a popularity contest or a way to show off skanky pictures... then what's the problem...
