Default Help with plasma flicker or something??

I have an Insignia plasma and it has been having some weird flicker. I put in Snow White blu-ray, it's in 4:3 ration, and the side black bars kept flickering like brighter and then back down, black to grayish then back, etc. I thought it might be something else in the chain causing it but I just went through everything and tried a dvd player as well and it still does it. It also does it on 2:35 movies on the top/bottom black bars. Also noticed it does it anytime I pull up the input menu or a menu. It is really annoying and distracting though. Any ideas???

Just looked around in menu and don't think it has a setting for that.

One other weird thing is I recorded Mickey Mouse clubhouse for my daughter on the dvr last night. I accidentally recorded it in standard def but when she watched it today it didn't have the flicker on the side black bars!. SO, it seems it's either something to do with the tv getting a HD signal OR maybe I'll try out the ps3 again on it and disable 24p and maybe that will do the trick?

Yeah definitely turn 24p off, that will probably fix your problem.
