They are TF-1 titles. That means, imposed French subtitles for English audio and most likely, Region B locked.

Also, it's the international cuts. Not the versions that was put together as "Grindhouse" here in the US. There was a German Blu-ray of "Grindhouse" that was shelved by Harvey Weinstein, it was originally due out in March of this year.
