Like other members, I like for my blu-ray shelf to have a uniform appearance. If they were all the same height, I wouldn't care, but it just messes up the flow. It seems to me that digibooks would cost more to produce, and eventually the production line will just switch to the standard cases.
What do you guys think about this? There are several movies I want (300, The Green Mile, Shawshank, Batman, etc) that are in digibook form, and am hoping they see a standard release. |

I am with the OP, I prefer to get the normal cases for the movies. Digibooks just contain extra materials that as no interest for me. Usualy it's not very expensive for me to get a release from the UK if it's region free. Last edited by P@t_Mtl; 10-28-2009 at 02:03 PM. |

The only thing really special about the Ultimate Experience is digital copy, digi-book case, and I believe like an extra or 2 that weren't in the original.

Almost all U.S. digibooks are available in the UK. Region free, and comparably priced.... and not a digibook. Search for the titles you're interested in on Amazon.uk
For example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-Mile-B...6710127&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Willy-Wonka-...6710148&sr=1-2 |

I think it is cool because like Paramount has the Sapphire Series WB has The Digibooks for their best movies

Ok you have seen the OP question. This was posted to cause a fight...plain and simple. Why is he missing out? Care to explain? He hates them, so do I! I think they are utter garbage but that does not deter mefrom buying a film I just work around it like Iceman has stated.

I agree. I love the Digibooks. They put so much art and information about a film it actually reminds me a bit of Laserdisc.
I think that they should make Digibook versions of films for collectors - and a lower priced alternative in the standard cases for those who don't care for Digibooks. But, for me, Digibooks is "The Royal Treatment" for films. I hope Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, The Abyss and Titanic are all released as Digibooks. |

Titantic will probably be a Sapphire series, but it The Abyss would be a great digibook (although I don't think it's by WB?)
