Default Songs you would've used instead the ones in a movie:

Have you ever had one of those moments "I would've used this song instead of this" for a movie that you like?

I just watched the Watchmen again and as much as I like the film, I have some beef about the song for the ending.
Sure, the tone and the tempo are a great match to the ending of the film, but the artist of the song... (My Chemical Romance?)
It's just a seriously ill fit to have MCR (a poseur emo pretentious punk-want-to-be band) among all the great classics like Dylan, Simone, Hendrix. It's almost like an insult to have their names appear on the same OST as My Chemical Romance.

I would've used (different moods for the ending)
Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (impossible to do however)
Bowie - Little Wonder or The Man who Sold The World (or the Nirvana cover)
Ramones - My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down
Radiohead- Karma Police
Sabbath- Never say die
Bob Dylan - Knockin' on Heaven's Door (quite a complement to The Times They are a changin from the Intro)

While I won't comment on the over all quality of the film (its definitely a guilty pleasure of mine), but when the credits started to roll at the end of Judge Dredd, I fully expected to hear the opening riff of Anthrax's "I Am The Law". Instead, we got some Cure song instead. Not to offend any fans of The Cure, but I just spent 90 mins. watching Sly kill and destroy everything in sight, and instead of credit music befitting of such a specticle, we get this wet noodle of a song.......bad form.

'RESPECT THE BADGE/He earned it with his blood/FEAR THE GUN/Your sentence may be death because/I AM THE LAW!!'

My GF and I always laugh at the ending songs for the Rambo trilogy...seriously terrible and do not fit these films at all. Just some generic hard rock songs would work better than the crappy ones they have now. (although as I mentioned they are great for a laugh)

Agree with that utter sit MCR song in Watchmen. What a crappy song to play at the end.

How about just using Dylan's original version of Desolation Row instead of the crappy MCR remake? That would have bookended the movie nicely with the opening of The Times They Are A Changgin'.

I would put "Eye of the Tiger" in every movie.

I hate it when they will change the music for home video versions of Movies and TV Shows! I remember the old days of VHS when it would say on the back of the box: "Home video version, some music has been changed". WTF! I have an old Bevery Hillbillies DVD set with strange alternate music used for the opening theme on each episode, not the famous song we all know and love!

I remember seeing A Nightmare on Elm St. pt. 3: Dream Warriors in the theater and hearing Dokken's "Into The Fire" during the opening scene, but when I rented it on VHS, they replaced it w/ some nameless rock instramental (despite the aforementioned song still being listed in the credits). Thankfully, the remedied that on the DVD release (broadcast versions still use the instramental though).
