Carlito's Way?

I'm watching Carlito's Way (for like the 10000th time!!!!) on DVD at the moment and am wondering 'where the hell is the bluray?'

I remember reading somewhere it would be released in October, can anybody confirm this?

I remember reading that too, but I don't think there was ever an official announcement about it, so it was probably just one of those unfounded rumours.

According to Amazon its still due for release on October 4th. Hope so as i love it. Have it on HD, hoping the BD version will be a step above that

Amazon are still showing the 5th October release date in the details, but they would already be taking pre-orders for it if it was really going to be released then. I really wouldn't trust their information - it's often incorrect.

Well its way past October and it seems like Amazon has taken down the page for Carlito's Way on blu, anyone know if we're still getting this anytime soon?

Universal's website has it listed for 5/27 this year....hopefully we get an announcement soon.

I wonder if this is the same version as the dts laserdisc that I have without the LFE.1 so it’s basically 5.0 with monaural surrounds. That’s the sixth sense I’m getting here.

Monaural surrounds might well be intentional on the mix as few films where ever produced with split-stereo surrounds from 1978 till around 1999 on 70mm but then this was never released on 70mm only 35mm Dolby stereo with dts in selected cinemas. The LFE.1 might also be intentional as there is plenty of recoil in the shootout in the train station.
