What do u think is the best Blaxploitation film? Also list some of your favorites and the worst as well. There are a lot so I may have missed one or so but I covered a lot as well. My list goes:

Best: Jackie Brown & Cooley High (voted Jackie Brown)

Favorites: Bones, Let's Do It Again, & The Wiz

Worst: Original Gangstas

I''m Gonna Git You Sucka is a parody of the movies and Jackie Brown is an homage to them. I wouldn't exactly classify them as blacksploitaion.

I just gota know how many of these have you seen Czar?

The best film up there is: The Bingo Long Traveling Allstars & Motor Kings (Not a Blaxploitation film) In fact Spielberg was going to direct this but since Jaws was a huge hit he could do his own project and started on Close Encounters.

Great film and a great cast!

I don't think The Wash is a blaxploitation movie as much as a Dre/Snoop comedy. It's no more blaxploitation than Friday (or its sequels). however, I voted for it because that movie is ridiculous and highly entertaining.

Really though, I'm gonna Git You... or Jackie Brown, although Jackie Brown is more of a homage to blaxploitation.

I have seen a lil more than a 3rd of the movies listed! I havnt seen the one u voted for though. Some u can question for blaxploitation but I think u can argue either way though. Got Em!!

I always enjoyed Blacula but I would say my favorite was Black Belt Jones. I haven't seen this movie in such a long time

Fortunately, Trailers From Hell had a whole week of Blax trailers, and persuaded me to put BLTAS&MK on my Netflix queue (but only because I'd been watching Ken Burns' "Baseball" and knew the historical source):

Added film trivia is that with the '75 craze for baseball movies, the Bingo Long cast once staged a publicity baseball game at Yankee Stadium against....the Bad News Bears.

(And besides, we all know the best Blax comedy was "Bustin' Loose" in 1981--

I would have voted for Sweet Sweetback's Baad Asssss Song if it were on the list. It's the film that started the blaxplotation trend in the 70's. (Though it is not considered by many to be an explotation film itself.)
