Default Which was better? SNES vs. Genesis. The Ultimate SMACKDOWN

Fight! Choose your side! Blood has been spilled many times! Red and Green!!

Only discuss the two consoles listed.

SNES!!! Great times, and memories!

Mortal Komat 2 was probably my favorite game on that system!

Also Madden 94, and NBA Jam were a few of my favorite games as well.

Gotta go SNES, but Altered Beast for Genesis was mind blowing when it hit the streets!

Not counting the Atari's, Colecovision, etc., I started with NES and worked my way up through the various Nintendo units to the Game Cube. My vote, then, must go to the SNES. Mario ruled!

Even though I loved genesis with Sonic, it simply couldn't beat Super Mario World!

The OG console war.

SNES for me. Was the first console I bought for myself. I blew many a paycheck on games for that system.

Isn't it kind of scary how EXPENSIVE games were back then? I mean the price hasn't increased all that much if you account for inflation.

gotta stay true to my roots.....the genesis was my 1st console when i was in the 3rd grade.

i remember my dad bringing it home and hooking it up and we played Sonic the Hedgehog all day!!!

one of my all time fav. games was the Road Rash series!!!

and are you guys talking about the OG NES or the Super Nintendo???

I had both and spent thousands of hours playing them, so this is tough, but I've got to go with the Genesis. I loved Super Mario World, F-Zero, Street Fighter 2, and Mario Cart, but they can't compare to the Genesis games. My favorites were Sonic the Hedgehog, all the Streets of Rage games, NBA Jam, and Skitchin. I thought the sports games played better on Genesis and EA Sports was in it's prime with NBA Live 95, NHL 94, and Madden. Genesis also had some great Disney titles in the Lion King and Toy Story. I'm sure I'm forgetting many of my favorites and I know some of the games I listed were on both consoles but I preferred them on the system I included them with.

SNES without question. I still play Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 to this day and the fun factor hasn't decreased at all. Donkey Kong Country 3....well....whose decision was it to put pajamas on what turns out to be the most worthless character in video game history
