Default The Amicus Collection (1972-2017)

https://severin-films.com/shop/amicu...ction-blu-ray/

Quote:
Four-Disc Collection

Now Remastered For The First Time Ever

With All-New Bonus Features

Known as ‘The Studio That Dripped Blood’, the British film company Amicus Productions – founded by American writer/producers Max J. Rosenberg and Milton Subotsky – built a legacy of horror anthologies and twisted thrillers that remains among the very best genre movies of the ‘70s. In this trio of Amicus classics – featuring stars that include Peter Cushing, Herbert Lom, Britt Ekland, Patrick Magee, Stephanie Beacham, Calvin Lockhart, Michael Gambon and Charlotte Rampling – you’ll discover the studio’s legendary portmanteau ASYLUM, their insane gothic shocker AND NOW THE SCREAMING STARTS, and – exclusive to this set – the infamous werewolf whodunit THE BEAST MUST DIE, as well as a Bonus Disc of Amicus trailers, TV commercials, rare interviews and more. The Amicus Collection is a Limited Edition, and Numbered to 3500 copies. This Box Set is also available in The Amicus Bundle along with a T-shirt, the Amicus Book, 4 Enamel Pin Set, and a Picture Frame.

WOW! A thing of beauty!

Must. Buy.

The bundle is too rich for my blood but the box set will be mine. I assume the box will be available through other retailers? Or is it a website exclusive?

It was with Severin a while back, so I assume they still have rights. "House" was supposed to be released on Blu-ray at the same time as Horror Express back in 2011, but only the latter was.

I'm excited for this, but concerned at some issues in the screenshots and trailer. That garbage down the left hand side shouldn't be there.

It's on all the caps so hopefully something to do with their caps and not the transfers.

I'd be far more concerned that there is no mention of new scans but you do see 'remastered for the first time' which a far cry from reassuring.

A special collector's edition of this set with a remote-control replica of that 'Lombot' would be all kinds of amazing.

It will probably follow later, right? I am in for the box, and might need that Cushing enamel pin...

Edit: ASYLUM and SCREAMING releasing separately on 12/5: https://severin-films.com/shop/asylum-blu-ray/

It's part of the Westchester Films (Shout! Factory) library, but it may still be licensed to Hen's Tooth Video, though.
