I heard that Krell is going to be debuting a blu-ray player at the show.

Also McIntosh is going to start shipping the 881BR in time to be in stores when CES begins.

Thumbs up Ces

Indeed, this year's show is going to be very interesting. There are many rumors of 3D products floating around, as well as other inovations. I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for all devolpments.

I hope sony reveals the XBR 11 and 12

http://www.gadgetvenue.com/sony-xbr1...aked-11143452/

They denied that leak was true, but we all know how companies are.

I think sony realised one of the things that them made number 1 in HDTV's back in 07 was the design. everyone loved the floating glass design of those early XBR's.

If that rumor is true, it looks like their ready to go after samsung. but they also need to price it right. i dont know why sony feels they can price their tv's higher than everyone else and expect good results.

Fact: I won't be there.
Rumor: Eva Mendes will be a guest host and nude. (Okay I made that up but it could be a good rumor )
Predictions: Many will leave with big smiles on their faces.

I'm interested to see if Sony (with their recently announced RealD partnership) will offer TV's that support passive 3D glasses (circularly polarized). As far as I know RealD has many types of 3D tech under their belt (shutter included) and implementing the needed tech for passive glasses is apparently quite expensive. Maybe they will offer a medium line that supports shutter tech and a few very high cost models that support passive glasses?

JVC will offer a tv supporting passive glasses but I heard it's north of 10000$(!). When Sony displayed some 3D games and whatnot at the 2009 CES they used a prototype Sony screen which supported passive glasses.

Default sony.. please listen to me!

I really hope sony goes back to the floating glass on the XBR tvs (that was my favourite feature!)...

Sony, here is what else I want on your new XBR:
70" with floating glass
Aspect ratio = 2.4:1 (I dont want regular widescreen tvs anymore)
3D support

think i am asking for too much?

if not, how about also bringing your New Home products to Canada (I have only been waiting for more than a year)

If Sony comes out with the floating glass design again that will be very cool. But I am sure the price will be steep so that being said I will stay with my current HDTV for awhile. But Sony has to step up and put the pressure on Samsung.

I am excited to see the new NeoPDPeco panels from Panasonic which encorporate Pioneer Kuro technology.

Those NeoPDPeco sets that were shown on that slide in 2008 are supposed to come out in 2010 as shown at the 2009 Panasonic Convention in Amsterdam.

The Kuro/Viera "NeoPDPeco" technology is supposed to deliver the infinite contrast ratio that the concept Kuro was promised to have this year with 10G but never surfaced.

Especially when you could get a 65" Nuvision with would probably be better since the Nu's have better video processing and the ISF professional calibration abilities as opposed to having to enter the service menu.
