Default Which disc(s), if any, did you blind buy...?

...and were you happy with your decision?

The only one I ever blind bought was 'Total Recall'. It was 8 or 9 bucks at best buy way back when. Months later, I still haven't gotten around to watching it.

I was tempted to blind buy 'A Perfect Getaway' because I love Milla Jovovich.

Glad I didn't. Caught it on demand a few nights ago. Decent movie, but I couldn't see myself watching it over and over.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (it's a pre-order, though). I think it'll kick ass!

I have blind bought many titles. The first blind buy I did was for Tropic Thunder and I wasn't disappointed. Since then, I've blind bought:

Band of Brothers - one of the best blind buys I've purchased. It's among my favorite Blus.
Batman (1989) - that was a mistake. Bad trasnfer and not really a good movie.
Blade Runner - I don't regret it too much, but I need to rewatch the film a few more times to actually understand what's going on.
Gladiator - first time seeing the film and despite the so-so transfer, it's one of my favorite Blus just because the movie is spectacular.
The Godfather Collection - perfect
Mongol - cheap price, good movie, can't say I regret it
Pan's Labyrinth - the film's good and the audio is amazing, so I was satisfied
Rambo - one of my favorite Blus
Shinobi - great film, satisfied with purchase
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1 - good show, great price, no regrets
Wanted -

Off the top of my head:

Crank 2
Inglourious Basterds
Transporter 3
Tony Jaa's Hard Gun

Inglourious Basterds is full or WIN.
Crank 2 is, well, Crank 2 and you pretty much know what you are getting.
Hard Gun sucks hard gun.
Transporter 3 wasn't what I expected.

2001: A Space Odyssey - oh wow was that worth it
Appleseed Ex Machina - I like the prequel enough
Blade Runner
Bridge to Terabithia - meh, decent
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Dawn of the Dead - I think it was my first Dead movie, good enough to make me want to see more
Day of the Dead - so good! Very bad review on here!
Die Hard 2 - again, quite good, bad review on here
Die Hard with a Vengeance - I don't like it
Evil Dead II - loved the original, and this was worth it. I've rented Army of Darkness since and I don't think I want that one.
Firefly - I liked the movie, so far I haven't gotten myself to finish the series, I'm hoping it gets better, average so far
First Blood - excellent
Halloween (original) - don't see anything great about it
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger - haven't watched yet
Thunderball - haven't watched yet
Planet of the Apes
Predator
Sleeping Beauty
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (original)
Total Recall - remembered how violent I thought it was when I was young, this movie was worth it, much smarter than I expected

That's 24% of my movies. I haven't been disappointed too much so far, but I rarely blind buy now-a-days.

I too made The Hurt Locker a blind buy, not bad, but not what I was after.

Best blind buy (recently) was District 9....I knew it would be good. Just didn't make it to the theatre to see it.

I blind buy too many, need to get the heck outta that habit.

Other blind buys: (call me stupid, go ahead, it's ok)
The Brave One
The Bucket List
Dollhouse, season 1
Duplicity
The Lookout
(500) Days of Summer
Band of Brothers
Big Fish
Children of Men
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Coraline
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Defiance
Fringe, season 1
Gran Torino
The International
Knowing
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets
The Passion of the Christ
Public Enemies
Quantum of Solace
Raging Bull
The Reader
Run, Lola, Run
Sons of Anarchy, season 1
Traitor
Transporter 3
Troy
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
Watchmen

What is that? A third of my collection? If I stop blind buying, will I ever buy anything?

Do a fair few blind buys, well I guess they would be more uninformed buys as normally at least watch a trailer before buying something but have a few exceptions like Dragon Hunters, Tin man and Rescue dawn. Only watched Dragon hunters so far out of those and really enjoyed it.

Most of my movies are blind buys, since I don't really care much about going to the cinema, these are a few recent ones:

- G-Force: Yeah... I know. Good for some mindless fun, I guess.
- Public Enemies: Read mixed reviews, luckily I really liked it.
- Coraline: Now this one is THE perfect blindbuy, though I knew from the start I'd love it.
- 9: I love all Tim Burton films, resulting in this one not dissapointing.
- Yes Man: Jim Carrey's humor has grown on me for the last couple of years, so this wasn't really blind.
- Watchmen: Sure it's an acquired taste, but it's something different from the usual Superman/Batman films.

I will never blind buy. It has to be a film that I know I want to watch many times in the future. Have to see it first, always.
