*new* My Piano black 5.1 Monitor Audio RX

its finally time!!!

First off, please ignore the setup around the TV. everything is basically new, the wrapper is still on the stand of the TV for that matter.

I got the 40.1 today, the RX8's, RX center and the RX surrounds.

The tv stand I have sitting here is going in the bedroom with a smaller TV, so there is no room for the center on this stand (other one will be here soon)

Sooo i have a couple BD discs holding it up for a few days lol

My surrounds stands have not come in yet (got the 26" ones)

getting an oppo 83 and will post up pictures when its actually setup properly. This was all just yanked out of the box from excitement!!

I am nervous, even on low volume, these things create a LOT of base... Apartment living will eventually get me questioned and asked to turn it down.. But till then, i am blasting em ahahah

Looks great! NOTHING beats the smell of HT electronics out of the box!!!

I had cool neighbors when I was in an apartment so I got away with more than I should have. Now I have my own house and have been having a blast!

but I know what those speakers are supposed to look like, and that is an awesome setup.

I agree, my apartment is on the 3rd floor, and we have fireplaces. Whats nice is, they have the double thick fire walls set up for the front and rear of my living room... Hopefully the people below me dont mind

March 5th im told the rest of my custom furniture will be done, and the 17th of february my new couches will be coming.. I will post up many more pictures then i would appreciate the ratings for my gallery


Need a few more things as well, monster power conditioner, heavier wire, oppo 83, and a bad ass remote, that will make me feel complete ( for now lol) i hear its never ending ahaha

Since you have so many upgrades on the way you could turn off your gallery ratings if you want to until everything is in place and all the new pictures are posted.

With the 5.1 setup you posted pictures of, I'm guessing the RX1s you got are for your surrounds. I'm curious why you went with those over the RXFX bipole/dipole surround models.

Good question, i actually never even considered them.. I might get them as well and run the RX1s on the side and shift the rxfx to the rears, make it a 7.1 ?

When i get computer access tonight i will adjust my gallery settings, thanks for the heads up!

When you do, you should do it the other way. You should have the RXFX on the side with the RX1's in the rear. That's what MA recommends.

thats the noob in me. You would think after 3 months of doing research on what I wanted, I would have at least read configuration options ahaha. The whole bi/di is new to me as well. I came from an extensive car audio collection over the years, and the home theater is just so much more relaxing (and more expensive)

thanks again for the valuable information... When I get some dough to throw, I plan to maybe pick them up. Just wanna get the other components to get it more complete before i try to complete it (if that makes any sense lol)
